Job Description

PRIMARY FUNCTION:

The Accounts Payable Analyst assists the Accounts Payable Management Team by maintaining responsibilities pertaining to the evaluation, accuracy and reporting of incoming invoices, processed vouchers, and pending and processed payments.

Fundamental Job Duties:

  • Ensure accurate and successful receipt and processing of all incoming invoices, by both automated and manual processes, using Workday and other Jefferson-supported technology (OCR, AI, etc.)
  • Perform first-level analysis and problem solving for problematic invoices and vouchers; provide first-level problem resolutions where applicable
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with internal and external stakeholders by email or phone on incoming inquiries; provide first-level problem resolutions where applicable
  • Utilize reporting and MS Excel tools to create and analyze system data and reporting, reconcile vendor statements, analyze payment info, etc.
  • Participate on project teams and provide various departmental supports as requested
  • Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the core values of the University.

EDUCATIONAL/TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:

High School Diploma or GED required.

2 - 4 years of general Accounts Payable experience with the ability to clearly demonstrate the understanding of key Accounts Payable concepts.
