SUMMARY

The Senior Clinical Manager, Neurodiagnostic Services oversees, administers, and manages all clinical and operational aspects of the Neurodiagnostic laboratories, including EEG, EMG, Long-Term Video Monitoring (LTVM), Transcranial Doppler (TCD), and Carotid Ultrasound testing. This leader works to ensure the delivery of high-quality, efficient, and patient-centered diagnostic care.

This role provides day-to-day leadership for technical and clinical teams, ensuring compliance with hospital policies, regulatory standards, and best practices in neurodiagnostic testing. The Senior Clinical Manager promotes a collaborative, multidisciplinary approach to care in alignment with the Neuroscience Service Line's strategic goals, supporting Neurology, Neurosurgery, Critical Care, and other clinical partners.

Responsibilities include clinical operations oversight, staffing and performance management, financial and budget accountability, capital and operational planning, quality improvement, and technology integration. The role also supports provider access optimization, staff training and credentialing, and program development to advance innovation and excellence in neurodiagnostic services.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provides daily operational leadership for EEG, EMG, LTM, TCD, and Carotid Ultrasound services across inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Supervises all neurodiagnostic technologists, vascular technologists, charge staff, and coordinators, ensuring adherence to policies, competency standards, and quality benchmarks.
• Collaborates closely with physicians, nursing leadership, and IT/Epic teams to optimize scheduling, reporting workflows, and access to diagnostic services.
• Monitors productivity, staffing models, and performance metrics to support efficiency, access, and quality outcomes.
• Develops, implements, and evaluates policies and procedures that promote safety, quality, and regulatory compliance (e.g., ASET, ABRET, IAC, Joint Commission).
• Leads quality improvement initiatives, including accuracy of diagnostic studies, turnaround times, and patient satisfaction.
• Manages operational and capital budgets; monitors supply and equipment utilization; supports acquisition and maintenance of neurodiagnostic and vascular ultrasound equipment and software.
• Promotes ongoing staff development, certification attainment, and continuing education for neurodiagnostic and vascular technologists.
• Participates in multidisciplinary rounds, service line meetings, and neuroscience program development initiatives.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Health Administration, Neurodiagnostic Technology, or a related healthcare field required.
• Master's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related discipline preferred.
• Minimum of three years of experience in an ambulatory, hospital, or neuroscience setting required.
• Demonstrated success in staff supervision, operations management, and multidisciplinary collaboration.
• Strong working knowledge of neurodiagnostic procedures (EEG, EMG, LTM, IONM) and related clinical workflows preferred.
• Familiarity with third-party payer regulations, clinical documentation standards, and Epic or equivalent EMR systems preferred.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills required.
