Position Summary

The Advancement team at the University of New Mexico School of Law seeks an Operations Specialist to assist with administrative and event support. We are a fun yet serious group that works to enhance the reputation of the School. This position reports to the Sr. Director of Advancement. Main duties include: coordinating and performing a wide variety of administrative and program support activities, event management, purchasing, data entry, assisting visitors, donor stewardship, and other similar duties as assigned. The Operations Specialist will work as part of the Advancement team but will be expected to independently manage their workload.

This position works on-site at the Law School full-time, with a regular 8am to 5pm Monday-Friday schedule.

Conditions of Employment

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or GED; at least 7 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Experienced in University of New Mexico systems and administrative processes
- Knowledge of Excel, Word, Zoom, and general office technology
- Ability to: work independently; work as a member of a team; take initiative
- Demonstrated experience in event planning
- Experience working with confidential information
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple deadlines
