Position Overview:

The Director of AI and Innovation is responsible for the evaluation and integration of AI and emerging technologies in partnership with our Data Science and Development teams. This role will help shape the future of the bank by driving AI strategy, enhancing operational efficiency, fostering an AI-native culture, and identifying fintech opportunities that align with business goals. The ideal candidate will turn emerging technologies into actionable strategies that generate measurable business value, positioning FNB for the next phase of its evolution in a rapidly changing landscape.

Primary Responsibilities:

Develop and lead the bank's enterprise-wide AI strategy in alignment with business objectives.

Identify and evaluate AI tools, platforms, and models for potential adoption, ensuring implementation aligns with best practices in governance, risk management and organizational standards.

Foster an AI-native culture by promoting organization-wide awareness and education, while empowering employees to confidently adopt and apply AI-driven thinking in their roles.

Partner with business lines to identify and prioritize AI use cases that drive revenue growth, operational efficiencies, and customer experience improvements.

Work closely with data and development teams to ensure AI initiatives are supported by scalable, secure, and compliant data infrastructure. Inventory and catalogue our AI assets in collaboration with IT.

Stay current on fintech trends, startups, and emerging technologies relevant to FNB.

Evaluate fintech solutions for potential partnerships, integrations, or investments.

Performs other related duties and projects as assigned.
