What You Will Do: GFT is seeking a Senior Transportation Planner to join our Transportation team in Owings Mills! This role follows a hybrid work model. Working on the roadway team at GFT offers the opportunity to engage in transformative projects that enhance transportation infrastructure and improve community connectivity. Whether working on highways and bridges or traffic engineering, our team excels in resilient, sustainable design and construction, delivering innovative solutions that address the complexities of modern, multimodal roadway systems and ensure safe, efficient, and reliable travel for all . In this capacity, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following: Prepares basic and complex planning studies involving a variety of multimodal systems. Gathers and records information to be used in transportation planning studies. Prepare and oversee development of studies and technical reports related to long range transportation planning, climate and resiliency assessments, , benefit cost analysis, and economic development. Prepare and oversee development of transportation purpose and need assessments, multi-modal evaluations, logical termini/independent utility analyses, engineering feasibility and transportation planning studies, development and analysis of alternatives, and transportation visioning. Works as part of a project team within the transportation planning discipline including coordination with other business lines. Meet with clients to collect information, share progress, and present results. Limited professional society engagement. Education \| Experience: What you will bring to our firm: BA or BS in Civil Engineering, Urban Planning, Urban and Regional Planning, or related field Professional Engineer (PE), American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP), or Professional Transportation Planner (PTP) certification preferred What we prefer you bring: 6 + years of applicable experience Experience with MicroStation, AutoCAD, and/or GIS preferred Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint, and Outlook, Project) Good oral and written communication skills Compensation: The salary range for this role is $90,000 - $115,000. Salary is dependent upon experience and geographic location.
