POSITION SUMMARY:

Oversee the planning and scheduling of products from the time they are received to the time they are shipped and establishes priorities in conjunction with other planners for all product lines.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Submit and maintain, as required bills of materials in conjunction with purchasing to eliminate stock out of raw materials
  • Set up and monitor long & short range planning schedules for multiple product lines
  • Maintain and update inventories of production lines
  • Maintain and update production task lists
  • Embrace/implement continuous improvement and lean principles in all activities
  • Maintain department safety and housekeeping standards
  • Adhere to all Company health, safety and environmental policies while performing job duties
  • Regular and reliable attendance
  • Interface with Engineering, Production, Finance, and others to support problem resolution to minimize impact to the production schedule
  • Provide lead times and projected ship dates
  • Ensure that business is conducted with integrity and in compliance with all Chromalloy process and procedures.
  • Coordinate daily/weekly priorities to ensure material availability
  • Coordinate with Customer Support and Production to ensure customer requirements are met and complaints are resolved in a timely manner.
  • Provide data analysis, summarization and communication of results to management



QULIFICATIONS:



  • Able to read/write in English
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred
  • Must possess basic math skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.)
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in Material / Production Planning, preferably in an aerospace industry
  • Ability to complete complex tasks on time with minimal supervision / guidance
  • Able to work with all levels of the organization
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to find creative solutions to complex issues and manage change
  • Knowledge of product (part #'s, serial #'s, repair codes, part differences); repair scope, time charges, service bulletins
  • Good computer and typing skills
  • Good communication, organizational and logic skills
  • Production planning or scheduling experience
