Responsibilities

  • The Charge Nurse is a Registered Nurse who is accountable for coordination of all care for a specific patient population on an assigned shift, in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act and the policies and procedures of BSA.
  • The Charge Nurse also has managerial responsibilities including, but not limited to, staffing, scheduling, employment development, and budget and performance improvement activities.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

  • High School (or GED equivalent) diploma.
  • Graduate of Accredited School of Nursing
  • Current license as RN in the state of Texas
  • BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

Preferred Job Requirements:

  • 2-3 years' of experience in a hospital setting as a staff nurse
