Overview

Rocky Mountain Cancer Centers, Colorado's largest and most comprehensive provider of cancer care has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Practice Administrator for our Radiation Oncology Division. The position involves traveling and providing services across our radiation sites located in Aurora, Littleton, Thornton, and Boulder.

Salary Range:
$115,000-$150,000

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certification, etc. As of the date of this posting, in addition to your salary, RMCC offer the following benefits for this position, subject to eligibility requirements: Health, dental, and vision plans; wellness program; health savings account; flexible spending accounts; 401(k) retirement plan; life insurance, short-term disability insurance; long-term disability insurance, Employee Assistance Program; PTO, holiday pay, tuition reimbursement, and employee paid critical illness and accident insurance.

This position is bonus eligible. Bonus eligibility is based on successfully meeting target matrix criteria.


Responsibilities

Directs practice activities to ensure accomplishment of objectives, typically in multiple full-time clinics with more than six physicians, or multiple lines of oncology business (medical and radiation). Recommends practice objectives to ensure financial profitability through short- and long-range planning in order to achieve and maintain growth. Continually evaluates practice strategies and plans to meet changing national, state, and local needs. Supports and adheres to the US Oncology Compliance Program, to include the Code of Ethics and Business Standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Strategic Leadership: Setting the vision and direction for the radiation oncology department.
  • Operational Management: Overseeing daily operations, including staffing, scheduling, and resource allocation.
  • Clinical Oversight: Ensuring high-quality patient care and adherence to established protocols and standards.
  • Financial Management: Developing and managing the department's budget.
  • Quality Assurance: Implementing and maintaining quality assurance programs.
  • Staff Development: Mentoring and developing staff members, including physicians, nurses, and technicians.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensuring adherence to all relevant regulations and standards.
  • Collaboration: Working with other departments and medical teams to ensure seamless patient care.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and implement policies, procedures, and objectives and ensure their adequate execution and compliance
  • Evaluate general and specific business conditions as they relate to operational issues and advises the governing body and the Executive Director on these matters
  • Advise and assists in developing organizational objectives and plans for their achievement.
  • Oversee the development of systems (both manual and automatic) to properly support practice-wide activities based upon business need
  • Direct the development and implementation of organizational procedures and controls to promote communication and adequate information flow within the organization
  • Direct the preparation and maintenance of management reports necessary to carry out function of practices. Prepare periodic reports as necessary.

Monitors, analyzes, assesses, and communicates practice progress. Considers present and planned capacity. In financial terms, considers manpower and practice needs, including facilities and technology.
  • Ensure compliance and adherence to the organization's structure, management philosophy and mission statements.
  • Manage staffing levels and establish processes to increase practice efficiency
  • Oversee development and coordination of new office locations and their needs as required. Supervisor all practice staff. Clinical work direction provided by physicians.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business administration, or related field.
  • Minimum seven years' experience in healthcare management, including at least two in a supervisory capacity
  • Must possess a strong knowledge of business and/or healthcare administration
  • Requires excellent written and verbal communications skills as well as planning, organizational, and conceptual skills
  • Proven leadership history with demonstrated career progression
  • Financial, operational and strategy experience with multiple practice experience where the key drivers are quality of service and optimal utilization of assets
  • Experience directing/managing multiple sites is preferred
