JOB TITLE: Texturing Support TRANSPORTER

REPORTS TO: Texturing Production Manager

PURPOSE:

To safely and efficiently label full packs of textured yarn. To safely and efficiently doff texturing machines. To safely and efficiently transport trucks to the next staging area. To safely and efficiently keep texturing machine fully tubed up.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Load machines with tubes
Inspect yarn packs for quality
Label doffed packs of yarn with machine labels
Remove doffed packs of yarn and transport to next process area
Print Lot numbers on blank tubes
Keep doff area clean

SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

Ability to work safely
Ability to read and write and follow directions
Ability to comprehend written and verbal instructions
Ability to understand and follow texturing transporter standard work procedures
Ability to lift up to 25-pound packs of yarn
Ability to push pin trucks
Ability to work as a team.
Good communication skills

MACHINES, TOOLS, MATERIALS, AND EQUIPMENT:

Texturing Machines, Pin Trucks, Pen, Tubes, Yarn, Computer, Tube Printer

AUTHORIZED TRAINING TIME: 2-4 Weeks

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: FREQUENCY, AMOUNT, OR DESCRIPTION

Standing:	Ability to stand unloading full packs of textured yarn and inserting tubes	100% of day
Moving	Move freely throughout the texturing department	100% of day
Lifting:	Ability to lift yarn packs up to 25-pounds onto pin trucks	75% of day
Push	Use a broom and dust pan.	50% of day
Push	Ability to push with yarn trucks	50% of day
Reach:	Ability to reach yarn above head. Ability to reach empty packs and skinners above head	25% of day
Bending:	Ability to pick up objects from the floor. Ability to bend over to load pin trucks.	50% of day
Walking	Ability to walk through the plant to get to work station, meeting rooms, break area, and to perform audits.	10% of day
Environment:	Ability to work around polyester, nylon and acetate	100% of day
Environment:	Ability to work in a conditioned indoor environment where temperature varies with the weather.	100% of day
11) Environment:	Ability to follow defined break schedule	10% of day
Environment:	Ability to work in manufacturing environment around powered material handling vehicles and moving mechanical parts.	100% of day
Schedule/Attendance:	Must be able to work 12 hour shifts. Must be able to rotate with assigned shifts per work schedule. Must be able to regularly and predictably attend per scheduled hours.	100% of day
