Maintain a positive company image by providing courteous, friendly, and efficient customer service. Perform all functions of loading product on our trucks to be delivered to our stores.
Responsibilities
* Use voice loading system to load pallets onto trailers - 3 way match by scanning pallet, door and trailer numbers
* Ensure and document trailer is at the proper temperature prior to loading
* Consolidate pallets on dock
* Identify destinations from pallet manifests and labels.
* Remove all back haul from outgoing trucks.
* Ensure proper operation of reefer units.
* Monitor all outgoing pallets.
* Ensure HACCP documents are filled out correctly.
* Load all trailers in an effective and efficient manner.
* Load all cross-dock shipments.
* Provide excellent customer service.
* Arrive to work area on time, appropriately groomed, dressed and ready to work; work all scheduled shifts and attend required trainings and meetings.
* Comply with all applicable state health and safety codes.
* Maintain clean and sanitary operating environment. Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
* Experience working with an electric/motorized ride on standing pallet jack (either single or double) and forklifts
* Experience with voice systems a plus
* Team-player with positive attitude
* Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
* Able to work well with others, self-motivated, and capable of working independently with little supervision
* Ability to deliver information in a clear and concise manner to fellow team members
* Ability to comply with all WFM policies and procedures
* Ability to complete all tasks in a thorough and timely manner
* Working understanding of and compliance with all WFM quality goals, and thorough product knowledge
* Demonstrates responsibility and accountability in recognizing and accomplishing all tasks where there is a direct job responsibility
* High attention to detail and thoroughness in approach with all paperwork
* Proper use of which may include but not limited to, safety knives, personal protective equipment, forklift, pallet jacks, hand trucks and all other equipment used within the Distribution Center.
* Able to work a flexible schedule based on the needs of the store, including nights, weekends and holidays as required
* Ability to perform physical requirements of position Desired Work Experiences
* Must be 18 years old
* Some warehouse preferred

* Ability to stand or walk at least 10 hours, and be able to frequently push, pull, squat, bend and reach with or without reasonable accommodation
* Must be able to lift 50 lbs, Occasionally lift up to 70 lbs (team lift suggested for weights in excess of 70 lbs)
* Work in a cold/wet storage facility environment (ranging from -10 (freezer) to 55 degrees Fahrenheit). General warehouse temps 34-46 degrees, Freezer -10 degrees
* Regularly getting on and off powered equipment, stepping on and off throughout shift
* Hand use: single grasping, fine manipulation, pushing and pulling
* Ability to use tools and equipment, including safety box cutters, electric pallet jacks and voice equipment Availability Requirements:
* Average shifts are 8-10 hours long
* Ability to work a rotating schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
* Team Members receive their schedule up to 3 weeks in advance The wage range for this position is $20.00-$36.00 Hourly, commensurate with experience. Whole Foods Market offers "Whole Benefits".
