Clinical Quality Assurance, part of Optum, has an immediate opening for a friendly, quality and safety focused detailed oriented Project Coordinator to join our team. The Project Coordinator is responsible for the completion of set processes and protocols. Works cooperatively with all members of the care team to support the vision and mission of the organization, deliver excellent customer service and adhere to Lean processes.

Schedule: This is a 40-hour work week to be determined by the supervisor. Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00 am to 5:00 pm

Location: 6 Neptune Road, Poughkeepsie, NY 12601; OR 100 South Bedford Road, Mount Kisco, NY 10549

Primary Responsibilities:



  • Support the clinical quality assurance department and the Vice President of Nursing
  • Setting up multiple meetings, managing calendars, and fielding multiple phone line extensions
  • Administrative support for multiple organizational wide programs including, the PH&S program, educational program, employee health programs, and all certification programs
  • Assist with managing the BLS/ACLS certification program
  • Assist with proctoring and managing the MA certification program
  • Assist with administrative duties surround onboarding competency creation/tracking/organizing for compliance
  • Participate in the administrative efforts to support all quality and safety initiatives for the organization
  • Ability to use excel programs daily
  • Ability to create PowerPoint presentations daily
  • Other duties may be assigned

Required Qualifications:



  • High School Diploma / GED (or higher)
  • 1+ years of experience in an administrative executive role
  • Advanced level of computer proficiency (multi-tasking through multiple applications including Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word) Be able to create excel spreadsheets and create PowerPoint presentations daily
  • Ability to travel 25% of the time to other offices if needed


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Experience working with an electronic health record (EPIC)
  • Knowledge of Medical terms
  • Knowledge of insurance carriers and managed care plans

  • Ability to work independently and maintain good judgment and accountability
  • Demonstrated ability to work well with health care providers
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks to meet all deadlines
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to speak clearly and concisely, conveying information in a manner that others can understand, as well as ability to understand and interpret information from others



The salary range for this role is $16.88 to $33.22 per hour based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
