We are seeking a Sr. Associate, Preparedness Program Development to support our Community Preparedness and Resilience Services program. Location: This position is fully remote and eligible for work anywhere within the continental United States. WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW (Job Overview): This position serves as a member of the Community Preparedness and Resilience Services program planning and implementation team. Provides management and oversight of preparedness programs ensuring that implementation and defined activities are carried out in accordance with specified objectives. Provides planning, design, implementation, and innovation support to assigned program area and team portfolio. Analyzes program activity and identifies areas for improvement. This position helps to develop solutions to complex challenges, often including short deadlines and large financial impacts. This position applies extensive technical expertise. Work is performed without appreciable direction and exercises considerable latitude. This position functions in a project leadership role, including coordination with senior internal and external stakeholders. May work with internal and external contacts to develop program strategies and proposal initiatives. Provides support, development and/or leadership guidance to all volunteers. Perform all duties and responsibilities in compliance with standard operating procedures and other applicable Federal, State and local regulations. WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED (Minimum Qualifications):
* Combination of candidate's education and general experience satisfies requirements so long as the total years equate to description's minimum education and general experience years combined. The salary range for this position is $82,800-$85,000. This job will be posted for a minimum of five business days and extended if the applicant pool needs to be expanded. Note that American Red Cross salaries are aligned to the specific geographic location in which the work is primarily performed. Other factors that may be used to determine your actual salary may include your specific skills, how many years of experience you have and comparison to other employees already in this role. Physical Requirements: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to type, handle, or feel; and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 15 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. The work environment may consist of moderate noise (i.e. business office with computers, phones and printers, light traffic). The employee must have the ability to work in a small cubicle on and have the ability to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period of time. May include driving a vehicle and working under challenging conditions. Requires some travel to attend work conferences and/or meetings. May require being on 24-hour call during periods of major disaster.
