From your PASSION to ours

The Deployment Planner will create and manage internal finished goods deployments in order to satisfy regional inventory targets to service our customers. In this role the Deployment Planner will work closely with the production planners, transport and warehouse teams, customer service and demand planning to determine optimal quantities to ship in order to achieve service and spoils targets. The Deployment Planner must leverage tools and resources to efficiently create shipments while minimizing rework and shipping inefficiencies. The role will serve as the go-to for troubleshooting service disruptions or shipping inefficiencies. This role will report to the Supply Planning Supervisor.

Key responsibilities for this position include:

  • Build truckloads of finished goods product effectively to maintain inventory targets and maximize service to customers while avoiding overstock and finish goods spoils.
  • Understand variances to plan and perform root cause analysis to advise on variances and disruptions. Communicate findings and opportunities in a clear and actionable manner.
  • Drive continuous improvement by proactively identifying and driving changes to improve KPIs, enhance communication and visibility and drive process efficiency.
  • Utilize technology, tools and resources to optimize workflow and results.
  • Collaborate and build strong working relationships with various logistics and supply chain departments to effectively communicate, troubleshoot and drive results. Effectively communicate at multiple levels within the organization.
  • Organize and prioritize workload to ensure adherence to critical deadlines to help enable favorable outcomes.

From your STORY to ours

Qualified applicants will contribute the following:

  • Associate's degree or equivalent experience required; Bachelor's Degree preferred. A major in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, Logistics, or a related field is required.
  • 4+ years Supply Chain Planning/forecasting experience is required.
  • Additional cross functional experience in warehousing, transportation planning, and/or customer service a plus.
  • Proficiency in Excel and general knowledge of other MS Office applications is required.
  • Proficiency in SAP is required.
  • Experience in the CPG industry is preferred.
  • Ability to travel as business needs require.
  • Demonstrated adaptability in making proactive adjustments to improve results, realigning actions, recalibrating priorities, and changing work practices seamlessly. Possesses intellectual acuity.
  • Proven analytical skills to rigorously analyze data and situations, identifying and analyzing causes/effects, and selecting appropriate information for effective decision-making.
  • Exceptional communication skills to clearly transmit and receive information and effectively communicate by considering others' points of view. This includes using tact and diplomacy and conveying ideas and information (adjusting style, tone, and level of detail), both orally and in writing, in a way that engages all stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving aptitude for building logical approaches (assessing situations, identifying causes, targeting solutions, deploying) to address problems or manage situations, drawing on personal knowledge and experience, and leveraging other references and resources as necessary.
  • Expertise in planning and organizing, including determining priorities and effectively allocating time and resources to ensure the rigorous accomplishment of specific objectives.
  • Proficient in supply planning processes, managing stock levels, minimizing waste, and preventing out-of-stock situations.
  • Skilled in supply chain management, balancing customer requirements with supply chain capabilities, proactively matching supply with demand, and executing plans with minimal disruptions. This includes developing and implementing distribution strategies aligned with sales forecasts.
  • Experienced in stock management, properly handling products by shelf life, ensuring cold chain and other HACCP/Food defense requirements. Capable of tracing all flows, including discrepancies, to analyze causes and reduce losses and damages, and defining picking methodology according to business strategy (FEFO, shelf life, etc.).
  • Demonstrated understanding of inventory management, aligning company supply chain plans with customer supply chain strategies to ensure appropriate customer service while minimizing out-of-stock issues.
