Department:Family & Consumer Science * HealthDepartment's Website: Supervision: Ensure Regional Program Associates are conducting work within the scope of the HOP agreement and implementation guidelines. Health Equity: Ensure all HOP initiatives are implemented, monitored, and coordinated to achieve measurable outcomes toward health equity in relation to program goals and objectives within target populations. Ability to recognize, respond, and redirect program implementation to ensure healthy equity principles are demonstrated. Partnership & Coalition Building: Oversee and coordinate community engagement efforts to cultivate and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to help drive policy, system, and environmental (PSE) changes. Ensure multi-sectoral collaborations have access to the resources and data they need to address the underlying root causes of health inequity. Serve on state-level committees and boards, as appropriate. Coordinate collaborative state-level partnerships and liaise between Regional Associates, local communities, and state-level organizations. Needs Assessments: Oversee the planning of county needs assessments and walkability assessments at the zip code or census tract levels. Obtain and identify primary and secondary data sources and existing policies to include in implementation strategies that improve health outcomes. Program Planning and Implementation: Develop the overall work plan and strategies to implement HOP in targeted counties. Oversee the engagement of community partners and priority populations in the local-level planning process to determine interventions centered around PSE. Ability to analyze the recommendations and re-direct if necessary to ensure local-level plans are within the overarching scope of work. Co-lead education and community awareness campaigns, pop-up events, and permanent implementation strategies alongside the Regional Associates and HOP project team. Evaluation: Assist and support evaluation efforts at the community level, including collecting surveys and conducting interviews. Ability to interpret demographic, statistical, programmatic, and scientific information. Purchasing/Procurement: Within the UADA and CDC purchasing guidelines, oversee and execute the purchasing of all materials and resources needed to execute community-level projects. Negotiate for the use of community assets and resources when appropriate and deemed necessary by CDC. Training: Assist with planning and conducting training for HOP team members. Oversee and conduct community-level training for community members and stakeholders. Writing: Assist with writing and disseminating annual HOP reports to be distributed through various outlets including UADA, CDC, legislative branches, County Extension Agents, and community stakeholders. Budgeting: Assist with developing and managing the HOP budget as needed. Continuing Education/Professional Development: Stay abreast of current trends, research, and best practices in relation to HOP. Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications
