Job Title: Ops and Maintenance Consultant Professional Specialist

Duration: 07+ months

Location: Little Rock, AR

Schedule: 30 Hrs/week (part-time)

Responsibilities:

  • Responsibilities will consist of a variety of field and office (primary) tasks related to the operations and maintenance of mechanical systems and monitoring of site remedies at a former mine site and active vanadium mill site in Arkansas.
  • Function as onsite lead in maintaining compliance with permit conditions and leading field teams.
  • You will provide field work planning and coordination with the technical team, health and safety oversight, work permitting, and direct oversight of subcontractors performing operations, maintenance (groundskeeping and facility upkeep), and monitoring activities. Daily drive around a 500-acre site to observe and document changes in conditions.
  • Communicate observations, status, and findings with the technical team on a weekly basis.
  • Keep detailed records of onsite activities. Track and report environmental compliance requirements. Office tasks such as data entry, routine reporting, coordinating field efforts, sample packaging and shipping, health/safety/compliance-oriented tasks, and attending Teams-based meetings, as needed. Build and maintain relationships with neighboring industrial operators and interact with our clients.



Qualifications:

  • Operations and Maintenance (O&M), subcontractor oversight experience, environmental sampling (e.g., groundwater and surface water) and 5+ years experience required.
  • Experience working on active construction/remediation project sites and overseeing subcontractors.
  • Strong attention to detail when conducting/overseeing field work.
  • Ability to follow explicit directions as described in multi-step procedures.
  • Experience with using Microsoft Office-based software.
  • A valid driver's license with no major infractions. Located within daily commuting distance to Hot Springs, AR, required.
  • Have or can obtain upon start date- Arkansas Basic Industrial Wastewater Operator License.



PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Construction management experience a plus. Bachelor's Degree (engineering or science) or equivalent preferred.
  • HAZWOPER 40-hour training a plus.



Comments/Special Instructions

  • This work will take place at a job site in Hot Springs, Arkansas. Start time is 7 am and end time is based on when subcontractor work is completed with mid-day flexibility. 6 hours of work maximum each day, with the exception of special circumstances and emergencies.
