Cox Automotive is looking for a Product Owner I to join the team. With industry-leading capabilities in tax and fee management, Cox Automotive provides unmatched support for accurate and timely tax and fee information throughout every step of the car-buying process.

As a Product Owner I, you will be responsible for developing the software that collects and manages tax and fee data in accordance with the product roadmap. You will work with Product Managers, Business Leaders, and cross-functional Scrum teams to deliver software to internal users and dealership customers. You manage the overall effort to deliver software products, capabilities, services, and enhancements using the strategic vision as well as established key performance indicators. You understand the functionality and determine the release sequence. You prioritize and maintain the product backlog and perform just-in-time story elaboration with the development team.

What You'll Do

  • Support Release Train and scrum team(s) via product planning, sprint planning, defect prioritization, and product backlog refinement.
  • Assist in the prioritization and management of the backlog and implementation, ensure product execution meets strategy and requirements, and refine features into user stories and story acceptance criteria.
  • Document Story details including workflow diagrams and wireframes to clearly define sprint work deliverables.
  • Communicate value delivery progress in meetings and sprint review.
  • Partner with Product Managers to understand and influence product strategy and roadmaps, aggregate and conceive ideas for enhancing product performance and achieving product success/KPIs.
  • Partner with a scrum team to build, enhance and manage one or more products, capabilities, or services.
  • Facilitate solution optioning with Engineering.
  • Coordinate with other Agile Product Managers to deliver on a vision that crosses multiple delivery streams or release trains.
  • Partner with Sales and Process Engineering to design and confirm workflow requirements.


Who You Are

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as 4 years' experience in a related field
  • Demonstrated ability to translate data into quantifiable actions/deliverables
  • Strong writing ability
  • Work experience in design, development and implementation of product plans
  • Working experience in full product lifecycle methodologies
  • Experience working in tax and fee management systems
  • Well organized, strong attention to detail, good written and verbal communicator


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Work experience in design, development and implementation of product plans
  • Familiarity with automotive and/or finance background preferred


USD 78,600.00 - 118,000.00 per year

Compensation:

Compensation includes a base salary of $78,600.00 - $118,000.00. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include an incentive program.

Benefits:

The Company offers eligible employees the flexibility to take as much vacation with pay as they deem consistent with their duties, the company's needs, and its obligations; seven paid holidays throughout the calendar year; and up to 160 hours of paid wellness annually for their own wellness or that of family members. Employees are also eligible for additional paid time off in the form of bereavement leave, time off to vote, jury duty leave, volunteer time off, military leave, and parental leave.
