Director of Continuous Improvement, Hospital Services Group (HSG)

DaVita's Hospital Services Group (HSG) is seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Continuous Improvement to lead transformative initiatives across Hospital Services Organization.

DaVita is a leading healthcare services company committed to improving the quality of life for kidney care patients across the U.S. Each year, DaVita delivers over 1.3 million treatments across approximately 800 hospitals nationwide. The Hospital Services Group (HSG) provides acute inpatient dialysis care and is focused on delivering clinical excellence, operational efficiency, and innovation at scale within hospital settings

Location: Remote, home-office based

Travel: Approximately 25% to 50%, based on project needs

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Lead large-scale, cross-functional improvement initiatives within hospital-based dialysis programs and acute care operations.

  • Manage high-performing project teams with diverse backgrounds in consulting, healthcare delivery, and project management.

  • Apply continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma) to incubate and operationalize solutions that improve quality, reduce costs, and streamline workflows.

  • Identify, structure, and prioritize strategic opportunities using a hypothesis-driven approach.

  • Build and review sophisticated models to evaluate impact and drive data-informed decision-making.

  • Distill complex problems into clear, actionable insights and communicate them through compelling presentations to senior leadership.

  • Effectively influence a wide range of stakeholders across clinical, operational, and executive domains.

  • Allocate team resources to meet timelines and deliverables across multiple concurrent initiatives.

  • Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree, Master's highly preferred

  • 5-10 years of progressive experience leading large-scale business transformation teams from concept through implementation with tangible impact on operating/financial performance

  • Strong knowledge and application of Lean, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement tools

  • AI skills and technology experience in standardization

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience presenting to senior leaders

  • Experience cultivating a strong, inclusive culture that engages and empowers team members.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Graduate degree in a related field

  • Lean Six Sigma certification

  • Experience with design thinking

  • Experience leading or contributing to large-scale business transformation initiatives
