Job Title: Experiential Learning Support Coordinator - Office of Experiential Programs (OEP)

Job Summary:



The Office of Experiential Programs (OEP) is an essential entity in the organization of the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus Skaggs School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences. OEP has primary responsibility for the administrative aspects and educational outcomes of all experiential courses in the school's PharmD degree programs.

The Academic Services Professional is part of a dynamic team supporting introductory and advanced experiential placements in work sites such as community pharmacies, hospitals, clinics, and others.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Prerequisite Coordinator: Liaise with Entry-Level PharmD students and Complio staff to obtain necessary School-mandated immunization, certification, and other documentation. Similarly, liaise with students and applicable staff to provide site-specific documentation to practice sites. Assist with out-of-state site setup and student scheduling. In collaboration with the Assistant Director of Operations ensure system setup and processes meet office and site needs.
  • Service-Learning Co-Curricular Coordinator: Collaborate with applicable faculty and staff to involve PharmD students in K-12 and college outreach service-learning activities. Manage the COAST-IT program (Connecting Older Adults to Students through Interprofessional Telecare), Pharmacist for a Day events, and vaccination events with faculty. Develop and oversee processes to implement and evaluate programs and events to meet faculty and course needs.
  • Match Coordinator: Develop strategies with the Match Manager and faculty to match over 200 students to IPPEs. Coordinate Introductory Pharmacy Practice Experiences (IPPEs) reassignments with staff and faculty. Assist in implementing Advanced IPPE and Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experience (APPE) matches. Perform other duties as assigned.



Work Location:



Hybrid - this role is eligible for a hybrid schedule of 2 days per week on campus and as needed for in-person meetings and events. Wednesdays are typically one of the two days so that employees can participate in "Walk-in Wednesday" activities and meetings.

Qualifications:



Minimum Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in education, student affairs, business administration, public administration, instructional design, communication, English, sociology, psychology, or a closely related field.
  • One (1) year of experience in higher education administration in student affairs.


A combination of education and related technical/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for the bachelor's degree on a year for year basis.

Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.

Preferred Qualifications:



  • Master's degree in education, student affairs, business administration, public administration, instructional design, communication, English, sociology, psychology, or a closely related field.
  • Experience in any of the following settings: quality assurance/control activities, higher education administration, higher education student affairs, instructional design, assessment, project management, data analysis or technical writing.
  • Hands-on experience with and administrative knowledge of course management systems, such as CORE ELMS, Blackboard, Canvas, or eCollege.
  • Experience in supporting faculty in a higher education setting.

  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students and employees at all levels throughout the institution.

  • Knowledge of higher education administration.

  • Analytical skills with the ability to reason.
  • Strong planning and organizing skills.
  • Proficiency with Learning Management Systems or the ability to quickly become so (e.g. CORE and Canvas).

Anticipated Pay Range:



The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as

$38,458 - $48,919.

The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position may be eligible for overtime compensation, depending on the level.
