SUMMARY:The Learning & Development (L&D) Specialist will play a key roleona team that strives to ensure Brown University Health can attract develop and retain the best talent. The L&D Specialist will contribute their ideas to the team*s innovations and will be responsible for supporting the execution of different training programs. Such programs may include newemployeeand new leader orientations managerial development career development and basic business skills. The L&D Specialist will schedule and coordinate training sessions facilitate high quality learning experiences in virtual and in-person classrooms administer and track evaluations of learning and maintain training documents and records. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor*s degree in Education Communications or related field or the equivalent experience 1+ year of related experience in training and development e-learning organizational development or related field 1+ year of related and documented experience in adult learning and instructional design Passion for learning increasing employee capability and achieving business results through people development Excellent public speaking and verbal communication skills in a corporate environment Demonstrated ability to actively collaborate and build relationships with leaders and HR partners to deliver results. Experience delivering virtual training Excellent written and oral communication skills Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects at once Ability to take initiative and be proactive without waiting for direction Ability to clearly communicate complex information and to effectively motivate small and large groups Knowledge of learning management systems and e-learning tools In-depth knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office programs PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Facilitate outstanding learning experiences for managers and employees in all departments including in-person and virtual training sessions Utilize expertise in adult learning and instructional design to partner with other Talent Management team members in the development of Leadership and Management Development programs Work with subject matter experts (SMEs) and other key stakeholders to identify target audience training needs Collaborate with SMEs and leverage their knowledge when co-creating learning programs Work with Professional Learning Managers to build and edit training content Co-create comprehensive training programs for multiple learning mediums (self-paced learning instructor-led learning supplemental materials interactive learnings) to drive desired outcomes Partner with Learning Operations Manager to co-create multimedia content utilizing e-Learning content creation tools Review training materials for accuracy Provide program coordination for new and ongoing leadership and managementtrainings Schedule and coordinate training sessions Enter and maintain electronic records for training sessions Maintain training documents and records Create or maintain metrics for key talent initiatives and processes to increase visibility Periodically meet with subject matter experts to evaluate usefulness of training offerings May provide per developed protocol adult learning and instructional design input as an internal consultant for various subject matter experts / e-learning developers.
