Primary Duties:
Remains current in knowledge of surgical procedures and maintains standards of asepsis. Organizes and prepares room supplies, instruments, and equipment as indicated by the physician's preference.
Assembles and inspects power and endoscopic equipment before use and provides physicians with appropriate instruments and equipment during surgical/endoscopic procedures.
Performs instrument, needle, and sponge count with R.N (Registered Nurse). according to established procedures. Handles specimens according to established procedures.
Cleans and re-stocks rooms as appropriate. Assists with instrument assembly and wrapping and demonstrates proper operation of sterilizers.
Cleans instruments according to established procedures, handling instruments safely and properly while using proper protective apparel.

Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED.
Entrance into preceptorship program.
Graduate of an accredited Operating Room Technician course preferred.
1-2 years' Operating room experience preferred.

This position has a hiring range of $29.15 - $51.68
