OCI (Oracle Cloud Infrastructure) Product & Industries is seeking a Senior Director to help us develop AI models and approaches to improve key processes in our growing business. This person will drive strategic integration of AI to deliver business value, leading a team of professionals to develop solutions that enhance operational efficiency, customer experience, and cost savings. This role bridges technical AI expertise with business strategy, ensuring AI initiatives align with organizational goals and deliver measured results. The successful candidate will be well organized and metrics-driven, showing strong initiative and thriving in fast-paced and constantly changing environments. They must also excel at written and verbal communication, including the ability to translate technical inputs and outputs to business leaders.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities for this role include (but are not limited to):
- Managing a small team of applied scientists, developers, and TPMs to deliver technical solutions to support business growth, process improvement, and scope expansion
- Defining internal AI strategy, aligning it with business objectives and efficiency goals
- Overseeing end-to-end project lifecycles, from ideation to deployment, ensuring timely delivery and quality outcomes through KPIs
- Applying executive business acumen to evaluate technical requests
- Managing reporting activities to executives to drive decisions
- Regularly collaborating with business stakeholders (e.g., product managers, service teams, etc.) to ensure key requirements are integrated into adopted solutions
- Other relevant duties, as assigned
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelors in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, Information Systems, or related field
- 8 +years people management or technical lead experience, with 2 or more years leading an organization including other managers or leads
- Hands on experience building and growing a team, including recruiting, hiring, and performance managing talent
- Demonstrated delivery of large, enterprise business optimization initiatives
- Possess working knowledge of Machine Learning, Data Science, GenAI, LLMs and/or LangChain
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA or advanced degree
- Proven ability to lead technical teams, manage projects, and drive cross-functional collaboration
- Simultaneously prioritize independent work, while managing team members to delivery
- Highly analytical, technically proficient, and able to learn new tools and software quickly
- Experience with delivering code/solutions within a corporate business environment (i.e., transformation projects)

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $161,700 to $338,500 per annum. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.
