POSITION SUMMARY The Indoor Range Manager/Chief Safety Officer is responsible for the overall operation, safety, and compliance of the indoor firearms training facility. This leadership position ensures that all range activities adhere to established safety protocols, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), and relevant federal and contractual regulations, including OSHA, EPA, and FLETA standards. The Manager oversees the daily opening and closing of the range, conducts comprehensive inspections of all range areas and equipment, and initiates corrective actions for any identified deficiencies. In addition to ensuring the safe and effective operation of all range systems in accordance with Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) guidelines, the Manager supervises contract personnel in conducting regular maintenance, hazardous material removal, and facility cleanliness. The position also manages scheduling, documentation, and security for the range and maintains detailed records of range operations, maintenance activities, and safety compliance. As the Chief Range Safety Officer, this individual is responsible for enforcing all range safety rules, delivering safety briefs, and ensuring each user's compliance before live-fire activities. The Manager coordinates with system manufacturers and contractors to ensure uninterrupted availability of necessary supplies and equipment. This role is critical in maintaining a safe, secure, and efficient training environment for all range users.
