Description Penn Pak, a business unit of Central Garden & Pet Company, is a leader in the bird food manufacturing industry. We are searching for an Operations Support Associate for our Sidney, NE location. This position is essential in ensuring the efficient and safe operation of receiving and processing commodities and mill equipment, contributing to the production of high-quality products. The ideal candidate is safety-conscious, detail-oriented, and able to work in fast-paced environments with tight schedules and deadlines. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Answer phones Must be able to organize shipping and receiving orders promptly. Must have strong time management and communication skills. Ability to read and understand warehouse paperwork. Able to schedule freight pickup as well as prepare and print shipping labels. Able to code and match invoices for payment. Display appropriate work ethics in the workplace, which provides a positive influence on all workers and represents Penn Pak in a positive manner. Be flexible and be willing to perform other duties as assigned, as well as maintain good housekeeping and a clean work area. QUALIFICATIONS High school graduate. Strong computer skills using Microsoft Office - SAP helpful, but not required. Basic math skills required. Demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively with co-workers and customers/ Must work well with others and demonstrate organizational skills to operate a busy office. Able to work in a constant state of alertness and a safe manner. WORKING CONDITIONS Full-time position requires the employee to function in a busy warehouse office environment. Must be able to bend over, reach with hands and arms, as well as lift 5 to 25 pounds at times. Must be able to work a flexible schedule.
