In this role, the Learning and Development Specialist is responsible for designing, developing, implementing, delivering, maintaining, and measuring professional and organizational development programs that enhance individual and organizational capabilities to achieve strategic business objectives. This individual will interact with talent across our entire organization at multiple levels. The Learning & Talent Specialist will have a thirst to stay current with industry practices and demonstrate strong project management and communication skills.

This position will be located at our Corporate Office in Appleton, WI [425 Better Way, Appleton, WI 54915]. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Designing, implementing, and measuring highly interactive learning solutions.
  • Facilitating learning events, both virtual and in-person, with passion and energy.
  • Utilizing various technologies such as Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and Articulate Rise to reach team members.
  • Staying current with industry practices and advancements.
  • Demonstrating strong project management and communication skills.
  • Interacting across the entire organization at multiple levels.
  • Providing consultation and design of technical skills and talent programs.
  • Creating curated learning paths to meet business needs.
  • Partnering with business leaders and People Resources colleagues to assess needs.
  • Proactively recommend strategies and tactics based on internal and external data.
  • Providing consultation to identify root causes and recommending effective learning solutions.
  • Manages vendor relationships including contracts, pricing, and service definition/quality. Ensures adherence to vendor requirements (e.g. intellectual property standards)
  • Designs and develops communication (i.e newsletter, team member meetings, internal display media, etc.) to promote learning and talent offerings.
  • Assists with maintaining team member training records through the learning management system.
  • Instilling a growth mindset, implement cutting edge L&D methods and processes that enable best-fit solutioning for learning needs to effectively manage the learning experience of the modern worker ( i.e. e-learning, microlearning and blended experiences) while using established learning and framework platforms.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree from 4-year College or university in Education; Instructional Design;
  • Learning & Development, Organizational Development; Human Resources; Business or related experience

  • Experience with instructional design (e.g. ADDIE, SAM, etc.) with application of adult learning
  • 3+ years of learning & development experience with design/creation of organization programs and curricula using various modalities and using e-learning as key delivery method
  • 3+ years of experience with learning delivery, program implementation, program evaluation, and change management principles with experience in influencing sponsors
  • Experience in the following authoring and editing tools: Advanced level of knowledge of professional design tools, Articulate 360 Suite (Storyline, Rise); Micro-Learning design focused. Desktop publishing software - Adobe InDesignGraphics or photo imaging software - Adobe Creative Cloud, Illustrator, Photoshop; Techsmith SnagitVideo creation and editing software - Adobe Premiere Pro and Audition; Vyond; Techsmith CamtasiaData and Measurement
  • Strong Microsoft Excel experience with familiarity with formulas for reporting and analysis such as pivot tables. Knowledge of advanced formulas such as vlookup and, concatenate.
  • General LMS setup and deployment knowledge.
  • Self-starter with an ability to drive projects to successful and timely conclusions while collaborating cross-functionally, multi-tasking and managing multiple projects for best-fit learning solutions
  • Strong business acumen to continually cultivate knowledge and understanding of how U.S. Venture operates holistically, and the ability to make good judgments and timely decisions to affect learning outcomes
  • Strong acumen in technology capability such as online b2b/c learning, analytics tool, data and related.
  • Strong decision making and problem-solving skills; strong program management experience; ability to multitask and excellent at follow up and attention to detail
  • Design thinking background: data-driven, learner-centered researcher; concept prototyping; define and analyze metrics; apply insights to improve programs and solutions.
  • Experience in authoring and developing modern, digital learning pathways and blended learning approaches including Micro-Learning
  • Up to 20% travel
