SUMMARY Mortenson is looking for a motivated and analyticalCompensation Analyst IIto support the design, implementation, and administration of compensation programs. This role will focus on market pricing, job evaluations, salary survey participation, and supporting the annual compensation cycle. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in compensation principles and a desire to grow within the field. RESPONSIBILITIES
- Market Pricing & Benchmarking
- Conduct market pricing for a variety of roles using salary survey data.
- Maintain and update compensation databases and tools.
- Job Evaluation & Maintenance
- Assist in evaluating new and existing roles for appropriate leveling and salary ranges.
- Help maintain job descriptions and job architecture documentation.
- Survey Participation
- Participate in compensation surveys by collecting and submitting accurate data.
- Analyze survey results to support compensation decisions.
- Annual Compensation Cycle
- Support the annual merit and bonus planning process.
- Prepare compensation reports and summaries for HR and business leaders.
- Compensation Reporting & Analysis
- Generate reports and dashboards to monitor pay equity, internal alignment, and market competitiveness.
- Assist in audits and compliance reporting as needed.
- Stakeholder Support
- Provide compensation data and guidance to HR business partners and recruiters.
- Respond to compensation-related inquiries from internal stakeholders.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in compensation, HR analytics, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Excel and experience with HRIS or compensation systems (such as Oracle, Workday, or other HRIS platforms).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with HR and business partners.
- Experience with compensation tools such as MarketPay, Payfactors, or similar is preferred.

The base pay range for this role is $83,700 - $125,600. (Actual range is higher for the following office locations: Denver, CO and Chicago, IL - 5%, Seattle, WA, and Portland, OR - 10%, Washington, D.C. - 12.5%). Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual's knowledge, skills, and experience, with consideration given to internal equity. #LI-PM1 #LI-Hybrid Please make note:
