FIELD PROJECT MANAGER

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

The Field Project Manager has the responsibility of acting as the liaison between the customer and internal departments to resolve issues concerning drawings, repair details, material requisitions, etc...

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Project planning that includes pre-erection survey and site preparation coordination
• Daily delivery coordination of precast to the jobsite
• Works directly with general contractors, erection subcontractors, and our engineer of record on any as-built requirements
• Attend all planning meetings to understand project information pertinent to the erection process
• Identify project milestones, and potential problems that could affect schedule
• Establish the basic guidelines that the project will operate within, including erection sequence, critical lifts, rigging procedures and coordination or crane assembly/disassembly
• Review and discuss with the foreman the basic guidelines that have been established for each project
• Ensure that each erection crew is executing the game plan for each project
• Act as the knowledgeable resource for any erection related question
• Communicate any changes in scope of work that would cause extra costs
• Manages field repair coordination and field patchers

EDUCATION, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, Civil Engineering, or related field equivalent experience
• OSHA 30-hour certified- Construction Industry
• Must be highly detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
• Strong communication, organizational, problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to read and interpret construction documents
• Ability to handle multiple assignments, prioritize activities and meet established deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent understanding of welding details and welding procedures
• Customer service skills, inter-personal and decision-making skills required

• Possession of a valid driver's license, and the ability to operate a motor vehicle.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/ ADA ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time.
• Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination for typing, filing, and using office equipment.
• Visual acuity and ability to read small print.
• Hearing acuity and ability to communicate effectively with others.
• Ability to lift and move office supplies and equipment.
• Mobility and ability to move around the office as needed.

• Minimal risk of safety precautions.
