Manufacturing Operator

Avantor, a Global Fortune 500 company is looking for a dedicated Manufacturing Operator for our Performance Materials organization.

This Paris, KY role is full-time, on-site; Monday through Friday 7:00 AM- 3:30 PM.

Who you are:

Minimum Education:

• High school diploma / GED

Required Experience (1+ yrs):

• Basis mathematical skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division)

Preferred Experience:

• Working in a manufacturing environment
• Mechanical experience
• RCRA Training
• Working on automated lines (placing empty bottles on converter, filled bottles in case and stacking cases on pallet.)
• Keeping accurate production records.

An entry level opportunity the Manufacturing Operator will exemplify business level organizational, prioritization, and problem analysis skills. Utilizing interpersonal skills as well as English reading, writing and verbal skills this role will entail:

• Critical decision-making skills, creativity, multi-tasking
• Adhering to all safety precautions and PPE (personal protection equipment) requirements while completing the assigned duties in a safe manner.
• Working on automatic side stations, ranging from 4liter bottles, 5gal pails, and 55gl drums.
• Manuel side stations filling from drum jacks.
• Taking particle count samples and running particle count tests.
• Monitoring and assisting in packaging operations.
• Working with the Quality Assurance Department to understand, recognize and rectify quality issues.
• Stopping the line to notify QA of a contamination event.
• Complying with cGMP requirements.
• Managing hazardous and universal waste according to local, state and federal regulations.
• Performs other duties as assigned

Environment:

Typically works in an office environment with adequate lighting and ventilation and a normal range of temperature and noise level. May also work in warehouse setting with appropriate protective wear if performing pre-fill, in-process, and final inspections on product. Work assignments are diversified. Examples of past precedent are used to resolve work problems. New alternatives may be developed to resolve problems. A frequent volume of work and deadlines impose strain on routine basis. Minimal physical effort is required. Work is mostly sedentary but does require walking, standing, bending, reaching, lifting or carrying objects that typically weigh less than 10 lbs.
