#upjobs BASIC FUNCTION AND RESPONSIBILITY To coordinate with Revenue Cycle Leaders in the analysis and root causing of all payer rejections/denials trends and present proposed solutions within University Physicians as well as other departments in order to prevent rejections/denials from occurring and obtain prompt payer reimbursement. Act as liaison with other departments to resolve reimbursement issues and provide education as needed. CHARACTERISTIC DUTIES -Coordinate the audit of claims/reimbursements/reports/etc. for Medicare, Medicaid, --Campus, and related areas. Research patient record documentation and prepare letters to appeal adverse determinations in payment. Shift
Shift Type: Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Flexibility for Alternative Schedules: Yes Position is eligible for the University Physicians work from home program. Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in related/relevant area or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 2 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary. Preferred Qualifications
Education: Certified Procedural Coder is preferred. Anticipated Hiring Range
