Summary: Responsibilities: Other information: Licensure as Registered Nurse in the State of Rhode Island by the Rhode Island Board of Nursing or licensure as a Registered Nurse in accordance with the Nurse Licensure Compact agreement of the National Council of State Boards of Nursing. BASIC KNOWLEDGE:Baccalaureate Degree and Master*s Degree in Nursing with an academic focus on clinical practice nursing education or nursing administration required. Matriculated and committed to completion in Master*s (Nursing) program will be considered. Current license to practice in the state of Rhode Island required APRN license or advanced certification preferred. Demonstrated knowledge and skills necessary to provide care to patients throughout the life span with consideration of aging processes human development stages and cultural patterns in each step of the care process. EXPERIENCE: Minimum of five years relevant clinical experience with demonstrated leadership and communication skills. Experience should exhibit an exceptional level of written and oral communication skill. The ability to conceptualize develop and effect quality nursing services with a commitment to continuous quality improvement is essential. Develops and maintains expertise in the field to address questions and provide strategic direction for research program development and quality innovation. The ability to see the potential in and use clinical information and decision support tools. The ability to understand and use statistical methods and metrics to set goals and measure clinical performance and quality outcomes. WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Sits stands and walks intermittently throughout the day. May be exposed to all patient elements. May be required to lift equipment.
