As the Business Systems Analyst, you will be supporting Enterprise Technology & Innovation (ETI) as a portfolio coordinator by ensuring the operational quality and effectiveness of technology solutions delivered by ETI. You will document and validate requirements and design improvement processes and workflows to make appropriate recommendations. We will count on you to be the functional expert on the specified applications and the point of contact between the business unit and ETI.

We Require

  • Two years of business systems analysis experience, including direct engagement with clients to understand and document the business needs and collaborating with business and technical stakeholders, ensuring various tasks are completed throughout the project life cycle

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field

  • Post-secondary education may substitute for up to one year of the required experience

  • Business systems analysis experience, requirements elicitation, creating and maintaining content for processes, workflows, use cases and data schemas for various county department initiatives

  • Creating content for user scenarios, training, guides, and FAQ materials

  • Coordinating validation, user acceptance testing, defect logging and management

  • Certifications related to Business Analysis Professional, Competency in Business Analysis, Capability in Business Analysis, Agile Analysis, ITIL, Software Quality, and Project Management

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, SharePoint, TEAMS, Project, Azure DevOps (TFS), Test Architect (test automation), and Jira

Job Contributions

  • Collaborates with senior staff, business owners, systems owners, decision-makers, and end-users to define business requirements, project objectives, and deliverables

  • Creates process models, diagrams, mock-ups, and prototype requirements

  • Prepares test plans, conducts testing, and captures test results; monitors and evaluates the quality of the development effort, resolves problems, publishes progress reports, and assures that objectives and deliverables are met

  • Communicates and manages changes, enhancements, and modifications of business requirements

  • Facilitate meetings remotely utilizing TEAMS, documenting meeting minutes, action items, and decisions

  • Guide and lead business stakeholders through unknown territory ensuring deliverables are clearly defined and provide value to end solution

  • Provides reference materials for user training and helpdesk support

  • Reviews and consolidates all final project documentation to ensure compliance with records retention schedules

  • Work in office to support face-to-face meeting, working sessions, and team activities

Working Conditions

  • Exerting up to 10 pounds occasionally or negligible weights frequently; sitting most of the time

  • Position is typically office or administrative work and is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions
