We are looking for a driven, experienced, and hands-on Program Director to lead the implementation of HealthEdge, a comprehensive healthcare SaaS platform designed to streamline operations, improve member experiences, and elevate care quality. The Program Director will drive overall program execution and be responsible for the strategic planning and management of the HealthEdge implementation program. This role involves leading multiple project teams, coordinating with senior leadership, and ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.

This is a matrixed management position with direct oversight of project resources.

Job Description
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement a comprehensive program plan, including objectives, timelines, critical path, and resource allocations.
  • Project and Program Oversight:Direct the execution of enterprise-wide programs and projects, ensuring consistency with organizational goals.
  • Leadership:Provide direction and leadership to project managers and cross-functional teams (including internal, business, technology, and vendor teams), ensuring cohesive and efficient program execution.
  • Performance Monitoring: Establish metrics and KPIs to monitor program performance and progress, adjusting as necessary.
  • Governance and Reporting:Maintain project dashboards and reporting tools for leadership visibility into programs/projects performance and ensure governance structure is being effectively/consistently being followed.
  • Continuous Improvements:
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to enhance project delivery.
  • Collect and analyze project data to measure performance and identify trends.
  • Stay updated on project management trends and best practices.
  • Manage the project portfolio, ensuring that projects are well-defined, resourced, and tracked.
  • Monitor project performance and provide regular updates to executive leadership.
  • Ensure all program deliverables meet quality standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Promote the adoption of standardized project management and process improvement methodologies and tools (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, PMBOK, DMAIC, Six Sigma...).
  • Provide training and support to project teams on project management best practices.
  • Project Portfolio Management:
  • Manage the project portfolio, ensuring that projects are well-defined, resourced, and tracked.
  • Monitor project performance and provide regular updates to executive leadership.
  • Ensure all program deliverables meet quality standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Methodology and Tools:
  • Promote the adoption of standardized project management and process improvement methodologies and tools (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, PMBOK, DMAIC, Six Sigma...).
  • Provide training and support to project teams on project management best practices.
  • Resource Management:
  • Lead and develop a team of project managers, and manage their capacity and assignments
  • Optimize resource allocation to ensure efficient project delivery.
  • Serve as a mentor and source of expertise to Project Managers and project staff.
  • Risk Management:
  • Identify and mitigate program risks, ensuring successful delivery of program outcomes.
  • Develop and implement risk management plans.
  • Escalate judiciously to ensure project success
  • Engage with senior leadership, external vendors, and key stakeholders to ensure program alignment with organizational priorities.
  • Communication:
    • Maintain transparent and effective communication channels with all stakeholders, providing regular updates on program status and addressing any issues.
  • Training and Development:
    • Oversee the development and delivery of training programs for end-users, ensuring smooth transition and adoption of HealthEdge.
  • Budget Oversight:
    • Manage program budgets, ensuring financial resources are utilized effectively and within approved limits.
  • Stakeholder Management:
    • Manage expectations and address stakeholder concerns.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in business, healthcare, management, engineering, or a related field required. Master's degree preferred.
  • PMP certification or equivalent required
  • 10 years of project or program management experience, with a focus on healthcare or IT projects
  • Experience working at a health plan in project management or operations preferred
  • Proven track record of successfully managing complex projects
