This position is a hybrid work opportunity that requires candidates be local to Richmond, VA to meet weekly onsite work requirements. **Healthcare experience highly preferred**

The Senior Compensation Analyst leads development and maintenance of MCVP provider compensation databases and reporting. Ensures all technical aspects of the collection, analysis, and reporting of provider compensation-related data is accurate, audited, communicated, and produced in a timely manner. Assists in formulating policies and procedures that support operational and provider compensation efforts. Recommends resolutions to the Provider Compensation Steering Committee and offers guidance to Department Administrators, Providers, Department Chairs and Division Chiefs. Communicates and reports information effectively and on time to appropriate audiences, conducting presentations as needed. Leads project efforts to implement new plans and maintains existing plans. Collaborates and communicates with the VCU Health Information Technology, Human Resources, Compliance, Payroll, Finance and Clinical Departments to ensure appropriate data integrity within the databases. Follows up on issues and concerns relating to the overall management of provider compensation information in a timely and confidential matter. Adopts technological solutions that keep overall operating expenses at a minimum.

Licensure, Certification, or Registration Requirements for Hire:
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) preferred

Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) preferred

Experience REQUIRED:
Minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of previous work experience in Finance, Human Resources, Physician Group Management or Accounting
Previous experience in data/information analysis, with financial and critical thinking skills
Advanced level of experience with spreadsheets and databases

Experience PREFERRED:
Previous experience using reporting tools such as Tableau, PowerBI, or SQL
Five (5) to seven (7) years of experience in a healthcare setting, preferably an academic medical center or physician practice, with a strong analytical background
Experience working directly with physicians and/or senior level administration
Previous experience in provider compensation plans
Previous experience in Human Resources Operations, Customer Service and/or Payroll
Project Management experience

Education/training REQUIRED:
Bachelors Degree in Business, Human Resource Management, Finance or closely related field from an accredited program

Education/training PREFERRED:
Masters Degree in Business, Human Resource Management, Finance or closely related field from an accredited program

Independent action(s) required:
Leads project efforts to implement new plans and maintains existing plans.
Develops and maintains systems and processes that support overall MCVP Administration, provider compensation plan and policies.
Maintains the data integrity of the MCVP provider compensation and recruitment databases and reporting systems.
Recommends resolutions to the Provider Compensation Steering Committee and offers guidance to Department Administrators, Providers, Department Chairs and Division Chiefs.
Develops and maintains systems and processes that support the overall MCVP operations, provider compensation plans and policies.
Develops training, communications and reports that support MCVP Provider Compensation Plan.
Oversees Administrators' compliance to resolve data integrity issues affecting physician compensation.

Supervisory responsibilities (if applicable):
Will serve as resource for physician compensation analyst(s)

Flexible scheduling - position may require early/late hours or weekends.
May also involve travel to attend conferences.
