The GUIDE model focuses on comprehensive, coordinated dementia care and aims to improve quality of life for people with dementia, reduce strain on their unpaid caregivers, and enable people with dementia to remain in their homes and communities.
The GUIDE Program Manager is responsible for developing, coordinating, and managing all clinical and administrative activities related to GUIDE dementia support services and patient access in collaboration with the system leadership. The Program Manager will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing the launch and expansion of GUIDE program in accordance with the Department's, Division's, MCVP's, VCUHS's strategic initiatives.
This individual serves as the administrative leader for GUIDE practice area managing a complex cross-functional program including planning and organizing work to achieve project and organizational objectives. Integrates concepts and data from sources to create analyses that serve operational, research, and strategic efforts.
Helps manage the daily operations of start-up GUIDE clinical program in a health care setting which involves planning, organizing, management, data, financial, and HR/personnel activities. Responsible for overseeing the development and use of data systems within the GUIDE program, ensuring effective data management, data collection techniques, secure procedures for data handling and analysis, and establishment of data sharing rules. Assists in the management of a comprehensive performance improvement program to ensure that program and services meet standards for quality or regulatory programs. Performs as an established member of the Division administrative structure, assisting in the development and implementation of professional standards for various components of the GUIDE program. Performs as a resource for strategic planning and performs other related duties as assigned or requested. Independently handles the day-to-day operations of the GUIDE program. Managerial responsibilities will be included with this role. Provides supervision for GUIDE program dementia certified practitioners and specialty program staff members. Assists in the development of the budget and allocated funds and business plan to accomplish objectives of the GUIDE program. Collaborates with leadership on review of annual program goals, performance improvement initiatives, approval on program guidelines, procedures, and manage and review the annual staff performance evaluations. Determines priorities, policies, and procedures, to efficiently and effectively accomplish program objectives. Participates in various programmatic and outreach functions, including business development for program growth. Assist with the recruitment process for the GUIDE program. Performs other duties as assigned and/or participates in special projects to support the mission of VCUHS and department.

Employment Qualifications Required Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Health Care, Business Management, Nursing, or a related discipline. Preferred Education: Master's degree in Health Administration, Business Administration, Health Policy, Public Administration, Public Health, Nursing or related. Licensure/Certification Required:N/A Licensure/Certification Preferred: Minimum Qualifications Years and Type of Required Experience Minimum of five (5) years of experience in planning, development, and administration of healthcare or business industries, including experience with oversight of budget/ fiscal management and data management and analytics.
