Job Title: Structured Cabling Technician
Location: Wilmington, NC Job Type: Contract (Long-Term Project) Industry: Construction / Technology Infrastructure Project Overview We are hiring Structured Cabling Technicians for a long-term project at a new Amazon Robotics Warehouse in Wilmington, NC. The project is set to kick off in June and will involve the installation of low-voltage infrastructure to support advanced automation systems in a high-tech warehouse environment. Who We're Looking For We are seeking candidates of all experience levels-from entry-level techs eager to learn, to experienced professionals with a background in structured cabling. Technicians with commercial cabling experience are especially encouraged to apply. Key Responsibilities * Install, terminate, and test Cat5e/Cat6 and fiber optic cabling * Build and label telecom racks, patch panels, and cable trays * Route cable through ceilings, walls, and floors in a commercial setting * Read and interpret blueprints and network diagrams * Follow safety protocols and project specifications * Collaborate with site supervisors and other trades Requirements * Basic understanding of structured cabling practices * Ability to work on ladders, lifts, and in physically active environments * Strong work ethic and attention to detail * Must have basic hand tools and PPE Preferred Qualifications * Commercial cabling experience (offices, warehouses, retail, etc.) * OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification * BICSI Installer certification * Experience with fiber optic installation and testing Schedule & Duration * Full-time hours, Monday-Friday * Project begins in June and is expected to run long-term with potential for follow-up work Compensation * Competitive hourly rate based on experience * Weekly pay through TEKsystems *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $28.00/hr.
