Public Agency Resources (PARS), a subsidiary of Willdan Group Inc., is seeking a Part-Time Code Enforcement Officer to support a city located in the Alameda County area. This position is ideal for someone with a flexible schedule who is looking to supplement their workweek with light, meaningful code enforcement responsibilities. This role requires in-person field work in the jurisdiction one day every other week, with a few flexible hours of remote administrative work. The officer will assist in maintaining community standards by investigating complaints and proactively identifying violations related to municipal codes. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Conduct field inspections to identify zoning, property maintenance, and nuisance violations. Document findings with detailed notes and photographs. Issue notices of violation or citations as appropriate. Communicate with property owners and tenants to encourage voluntary compliance. Perform follow-up inspections and maintain accurate case records. Provide brief status updates and reports to city staff. Job Requirements / Qualifications Experience in code enforcement or related field preferred. Strong organizational and communication skills. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. CACEO certification is a plus, but not required.
