The Senior Financial Analyst role is an integral member of the Corporate Finance team. The position will utilize various financial tools to provide leaders of the business with highly analytical reporting and analysis across multiple performance measures and business units for monthly results, historical analysis, and short-term and long-term forecasts and budgets.
- Develops financial models, forecasts and comparative performance analysis
- Sound understanding of financial statements (e.g., Income Statement / Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow)
- Prepares and coordinates the monthly variance analysis of actuals, plan and forecast.
- Translates analyses into easy-to-understand presentations and visualizations.
- Performs research and analysis of financial and operational performance.
- Identifies trends and recommends actions based on sound and thorough analysis.
- Manages dashboard reporting of key financial metrics.
- Completes complex assignments, with ability to visualize, articulate, and solve complex problems.
- Assignments are broad in nature and require ingenuity and originality.
- Works under general direction with latitude to proceed on some actions or decisions.
- Self-starter with ability to complete projects from start-to-finish while managing competing priorities.
- Supports the leadership team with regular (daily, weekly, monthly) financial reporting and metrics, as well as ad-hoc financial analysis as needed.
- Detail-oriented, with strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to interact effectively with management and functional leaders.
- Builds relationships across the company to become a strong cross functional partner.
- Partners effectively with numerous teams at the Company (e.g., accounting, operations, branch, sales, etc.) to produce monthly, quarterly and annual budgets.
- Support the finance and business teams with financial metrics and key business analysis.
- Assists, as needed, in developing materials (reporting, metrics, presentations) for external communications to partners and the Board.
- Propose enhancements to business processes based on data analysis to drive increased profitability.
- Makes decisions that refine and improve known practices or develops new approaches.
Ensures financial data accuracy, integrity and consistency of information as well as organized documentation of results and data sources used.
Quali
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting preferred
- Two or more years of progressive experience in corporate finance or financial planning and analysis
- Prior experience with Financial statements
- Excellent analytical skills
- Previous experience with D365 and/or Power B.I.
Strong PC literacy and applications, advanced skills in Excel (e.g., Pivot Tables, Charting, Sumifs
