PURPOSE STATEMENT: THE SANITATION LEAD IS TO ENSURE THE EXECUTION OF SANITATION WITHIN ALL PLANT FOOD PROCESSING AREAS TO ENSURE THE SAFETY OF THE CONSUMER AND REMAIN IN COMPLIANCE WITH ALL FEDERAL, STATE AND LOCAL RULES, REGULATIONS, AND LAWS. KEEPS WORKING AREA AND EQUIPMENT IN PROCESSING FACILITY CLEAN, AND SANITARY FOR PRODUCTION. WORKS IN A LEAD CAPACITY OVERSEEING WORK OF SANITATION TEAM. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: WHILE PERFORMING THE DUTIES OF THIS JOB, THE EMPLOYEE IS REGULARLY EXPOSED TO MOVING MECHANICAL PARTS. THE EMPLOYEE IS FREQUENTLY EXPOSED TO WET AND/OR HUMID CONDITIONS, HEAT AND EXTREME COLD. THE EMPLOYEE IS OCCASIONALLY EXPOSED TO HIGH, PRECARIOUS PLACES; FUMES OR AIRBORNE PARTICLES; TOXIC OR CAUSTIC CHEMICALS; OUTSIDE WEATHER CONDITIONS; RISK OF ELECTRICAL SHOCK AND VIBRATION. THE NOISE LEVEL IN THE WORK ENVIRONMENT IS USUALLY MODERATE. AN OFFICE SPACE; WORKING COMPUTER, TELEPHONE, DESK, AND CHAIR AS NEEDED TO COMPLETE ADMINISTRATIVE TASKS. ENTER AND WORK WITHIN TEMPERATURE CONTROLLED ENVIRONMENTS OF -10 TO 85 DEGREES. SOME ASSIGNMENTS MAY INVOLVE EXPOSURE TO NOISE, CHEMICALS, BIOHAZARDS, AND VARIOUS FORMS OF RADIATION. SOME ASSIGNMENTS COULD BE EXTREMELY DANGEROUS IN THE EVENT OF DIZZINESS, LOSS OF CONSCIOUSNESS, OR LOSS OF BALANCE. WORKING CONDITIONS ARE NORMAL FOR A PLANT MANUFACTURING FOOD. FOOD SAFETY PRACTICES ARE FOLLOWED AND UPHELD TO THE FULL EXTENT. WORK WILL INVOLVE LIFTING OF RAW MATERIALS, FINISHED CASES OF BREAD, AND INGREDIENTS. ALL EMPLOYEES WILL BE REQUIRED TO WEAR A SLIP RESISTANT SAFETY STEEL TOE SHOE. WHILE PERFORMING THE DUTIES OF THIS JOB, THE EMPLOYEE IS REGULARLY REQUIRED TO STAND; WALK; USE HANDS TO FINGER, HANDLE, OR FEEL AND REACH WITH HANDS AND ARMS. THE EMPLOYEE IS OCCASIONALLY REQUIRED TO SIT; CLIMB OR BALANCE; STOOP, KNEEL, CROUCH, OR CRAWL AND TALK OR HEAR. THE EMPLOYEE MUST REGULARLY LIFT AND /OR MOVE UP TO 10 POUNDS, FREQUENTLY LIFT AND/OR MOVE UP TO 25 POUNDS AND OCCASIONALLY LIFT AND/OR MOVE UP TO 70 POUNDS. SPECIFIC VISION ABILITIES REQUIRED BY THIS JOB INCLUDE CLOSE VISION, DISTANCE VISION, PERIPHERAL VISION, DEPTH PERCEPTION AND ABILITY TO ADJUST FOCUS.
