The Manager of Sports Events is responsible for developing national properties, organizing large-scale events, and spearheading significant event initiatives in the region. This role is focused on distinguishing our brand and enhancing its image. As a project leader, you will collaborate with key stakeholders to maximize the impact of major regional sports event initiatives. Your responsibilities encompass all aspects of event execution, including creative development, concept creation, implementation, and evaluation. Additionally, you will work closely with local field teams, giving them direction and support to leverage Sports properties and Red Bull partners effectively in host markets. This involves setting objectives, identifying key scenes and relationships, and guiding relevant initiatives related to national and regional events within the region. EXPERIENCE Your areas of knowledge and expertise that matter most for this role: 3+ years of relevant experience in event planning, project coordination, team management, and budget overseeing Skilled in event and project management Ability to devise creative and unique solutions for project execution Familiarity with various sports and their respective communities both at the regional and national levels Experienced in managing budgets exceeding $400,000 Proficient in contract negotiation - constructing and reviewing beneficial agreements with suppliers and external partners Knowledgeable about using different communication channels for distribution Experienced in TV and video production programming Proven record of collaborating effectively with local governments, showing an understanding of approval systems and regulations Strong planning and project management skills Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent work experience Must have valid US driver's license Must be fluent in English, additional language skills an advantage Travel 10-20% Permanent Benefits eligible
