Kimball Midwest, a national distributor of maintenance, repair, and operation products, is searching for an Indirect Tax Analyst for our Columbus, OH location.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for preparing and filing indirect tax returns, including sales tax, Business Licenses, Secretary of State Filings and other relevant taxes
  • Conducts research on indirect tax issues and provides recommendations to ensure compliance and minimize tax liabilities
  • Assists in responding to inquiries and audits from tax authorities related to indirect taxes
  • Analyzes financial data to support tax planning initiatives and optimize indirect tax strategies
  • Collaborates with finance, accounting, and legal teams to ensure accurate and timely reporting of indirect taxes
  • Monitors legislative and regulatory developments related to indirect taxes and assesses their impact on the organization

Qualifications

  • 1+ years experience in indirect tax compliance and reporting, preferably in a corporate tax department or public accounting firm
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or related field
  • Experience with tax software and ERP Systems
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
