Product Design Engineer - 8+ years of experience Hardware Engineering Team This is a 6-month, full-time (40 hours/week), hybrid (3 days on-site) contract role located in Cupertino, CA. Summary: Support the hardware engineering team by designing innovative mechanical solutions for product development. Contribute to the creation of high-quality consumer electronics by collaborating across engineering, manufacturing, and design functions. Our Ideal Candidate: - 2+ years of experience in mechanical design or product development - Passion for consumer electronics with a strong foundation in mechanical intuition, spatial reasoning, and creative problem solving - Proficient in 3D CAD (any platform); familiarity with 2D drafting and GD&T is a plus - Familiar with statics, strength of materials, material science, and statistics - Skilled in collaborating with cross-functional teams and external vendors - Able to work independently and manage multiple design tasks simultaneously - Flexible and adaptable to changing technical constraints and priorities - Strong written, visual, and verbal communication skills with exceptional attention to detail - Motivated, curious, and hands-on in problem-solving with a passion for design Job Description: In this role, you will provide mechanical design support for hardware products.
