Summary of the Job:

Responsible for all Individual Segment Banking Consumer Collection and Recovery activities related to Branch Retail, Mortgage, DDA overdrafts and Small Business Banking for all markets within FNBO.

About This Role:

  • Accountable for one or more related departments, multiple products across multiple Banks.
  • Combination of operational and strategic
  • Develops departmental business plans
  • Manages through Managers
  • Broad knowledge of systems, department and industry

The Ideal Candidate for This Role:

  • Collection and Charge-off Recovery for all Individual Segment Banking Products:
    • Mortgage Loans - Bank-owned and all Investor Serviced (Fannie, Freddie, VA, FHA, HUD, etc.)
    • Home Equity Loans and Home Equity Line of Credit
    • Unsecured Loans and Line of Credit
    • Direct Title Vehicle Loans
    • Indirect Title Vehicle Loans
    • Other Secured Loans
    • Patient Financing - Corporate Banking
    • Private Banking - on request
    • DDA Overdrafts
    • Small Business Banking
  • Strategy and workload management - Create and execute collection strategies to improve collection and recovery effectiveness.
  • Manage Staff
  • Management of Collection staff that currently has 19 people located in Omaha, Wayne and Colorado. - Recruit, select, train, coach and develop direct reports in Management and Associate roles as well as responsibility for human resources activities for the team.
  • Cost Center Management - Budgeting, loss forecasting, unit cost, expense management and approval processing.
  • Approval Authority - Review and sign-off approval of invoices and legal expenses for loans across Retail branch cost centers for legal firms, collection agencies and vendors, foreclosures, repossessions, short sales, deed in lieu, charge-offs and settlements.
  • Responsible for signing notarized documents for Loan modifications and mortgage related loss mitigation.
  • Negotiate with Realtors or Attorney - Negotiate with realtors and customers to resolve short sale or modifications with Credit.
  • Foreclosures - Work with law firms and attorneys to conduct Foreclosures on collateral.
  • Site Visits and Inspections - Conduct property site visits and review values to determine foreclosure options and decisions.
  • Repossession of vehicles
  • Vendor Management - Third-party vendor management responsibility in Archer for all law firms, collection agencies and other collection vendors.
  • Present Results, MIS, data decks - Prepare and present monthly results to senior management at various meetings.
  • Audits and Exams - Represent the department and participate in various external and internal regulatory exams, including OCC, CFPB, Fannie Mae, other Servicing Investors, Internal Audit, Compliance Review and Loan Review.
  • Performance and Improvement - Monitor staff performance and promote changes, identify improvements, prepare and complete action plans.
  • Policy, Guidelines and Procedure - Maintain policies, guidelines and procedures for all products.
  • Quality Assurance and Quality Control - Regulatory testing and working with our governance group and Compliance areas to document risks and controls.
  • Systems expert and administration - Responsible for end results and assist in administering multiple technology systems used in Collections - TCS, RMS, Hogan, ICE-MSP.
  • Patient Financing - Work with Corporate Banking, Patient Financing group, to manage collections and guarantee buyback process.

Compensation:

Compensation range (base pay): $110,723.00-$188,230.00

This role may have a specific starting pay within this range.

Final compensation offer to candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon work experience, education, and/or skill level.
