About the Opportunity: We are looking for a Special Process Engineer to manage and support process activities. Location: Stuart, FL On-Site Responsibilities:
- Implement continuous improvement action plans in all special processes.
- Participate in special process internal audits.
- Manage special process Nadcap audits (from preparation to closing of NCR if any).
- Manage customer audits related to special process.
- Follow up of all special process related action plans (from internal and external audits, improvements, DMB...).
- Manage special process projects (from purchasing of new machines to commissioning and validation, layout implementation/change...).
- Manage special process qualification projects with different customers.
- Ensure all special process personnel are trained and qualified.
- Review periodically latest revisions of Nadcap and customer requirements and ensure special processes are compliant.
- Ensure special process periodic tests are performed on time (e.g: contamination test, SAT and TUS for heat treat, metallurgical tests for EDM, penetrant test for FPI, calibrations, coolant CoA's, operator training, coolant concentration checks...).
- Create and update special process procedures.
- Review and approve special process work instructions.
- Review of certificates of conformance related to special processes.
- Error-proof fixture designs and respective tools to ensure Nadcap requirements are easily adhered to, and scrap/rework is eliminated.
- Incorporate on-machine part probing for product/fixture setup validation, machine calibration confirmation, and offset elimination to ensure Nadcap requirements are achieved and scrap/rework is eliminated.
- Incorporate tool change point and tool carousel loading techniques which automate & error-proof steps to ensure Nadcap requirements met and scrap/rework is eliminated.
- Lock out CNC program variables from operator intervention to ensure Nadcap requirements are achieved and scrap/rework is eliminated.
- Develop optimized program variables for each product/operation and earn customer approval as required.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent and a minimum of two (2) years of related experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Working knowledge of drawings interpretation and geometric dimensioning and tolerances Working knowledge of various machining operations, quality assurance systems, calibration and gauging
- Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing
- Working knowledge of manufacturing techniques
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Solid knowledge of root cause and corrective action process
- Able to read, write, and speak standard English
