Position Summary:

The Senior Editor position is a critical creative role at New Honor Society. The Senior Editor works on creative projects that have the most impact to client business and visibility for the agency. It's positioned as a critical role that partners with the creative team to help bring stories to life through editing and postproduction techniques. The position requires the desire to work within a creative agency and partner with teams to develop ideas from storyboard through delivery. From a technology standpoint, the position requires commitment and interest in maintaining skills in new tools and technology, including AI, file management and workflow systems.

Responsibilities:



  • Lead post-production editing for a range of content, including commercials, branded content, digital videos, and social assets.


  • Edit with a point of view and articulate it to creatives.


  • Maintain a high level of organization for all project files and media assets


  • Manage a room.


  • Communicate direction to support team.


  • Provide creative input during pre-production and concept development when needed.


  • Manage time to spec and schedules and communicate notes to studio producers.


  • Mentor junior editors and help elevate the team's overall capabilities.


  • Explore and evaluate emerging AI tools and technologies in post-production, and identify opportunities to enhance workflows, creativity, and efficiency.



Requirements:



  • 5+ years of experience.


  • Ability to laugh and collaborate closely with others in a team environment under tight deadlines.


  • Expertise in Adobe Premiere Pro (After Effects, Photoshop, and DaVinci Resolve are a plus).


  • A strong sense of pacing, timing, rhythm, and audio editing.


  • Strong portfolio showcasing a variety of work, including short-form advertising and branded content.
