Rio Tinto's internal users require various IT equipment and services in order to be as productive as possible in their daily activities. The Information Systems & Technology Site Support team helps them to do so by providing first level support for various equipment, as well as end-to-end service for computer equipment. We are looking for a Production Site Support Superintendent to ensure that the support of all of the equipment and services that we require on a daily basis is in good working order and operate in an effective and efficient manner.

• Oversee Site Support services for Rio Tinto operations in Salt Lake City, UT and Superior, AZ, ensuring end-to-end visibility and alignment with operational needs.

• Collaborate across IS&T teams to define and support first-level response for managed equipment and services, aligning operational, technical, and architectural considerations.

• Contribute to the Site Support roadmap, integrating feedback from operations and business units to enhance service delivery and strategic planning.

• Provide leadership and mentorship to staff by fostering a collaborative culture, setting clear objectives, and encouraging continuous development and feedback.

• Manage high-priority issues and escalations, ensuring prompt resolution and minimal business disruption through effective incident and customer management.

• Build and lead relationships with key vendor partners, ensuring performance, driving continuous improvement, and identifying cost-saving opportunities.

• Maintain and mitigate operational risk, ensuring necessary controls are in place while promoting compliance with internal standards and best practices.

• Enhance IS&T's customer service reputation by consistently meeting Service Level Agreements and delivering professional, customer-focused support.

• Support continuous improvement and alignment with Business Units by gathering feedback, understanding operational needs, and embedding a service-oriented mindset, including adherence to Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) standards.

What you'll bring

To be successfully considered for this role, you will have:

• A strong safety mindset

• 5-7 years of experience working on an Operations team

• Bachelor's Degree in IT or related field

• Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken

• A successful track record of vendor and contract management

• Experience with coordination of resources

• A broad understanding of IT equipment and systems
