As the Director of Human Resources, here's the work you'll do:
Senior HR leader over two sites (Middletown, IA and Milan, TN) supporting ~1400 union, hourly and salaried employees. Serves as a strategic business partner to the business unit leadership team. Aligns, prioritizes and implements HR programs and practices to ensure short/long term organizational success.

  • Serves as a strategic business partner to the business unit leadership team.Aligns, prioritizes and implements HR programs and practices to ensure short/long term organizational success.Leads organizational change related to enterprise initiatives such as restructurings.
  • Provides management and oversight for all HR initiatives relative to talent acquisition, development, performance management, employee relations, and total rewards.Customizes and implements new enterprise HR programs.
  • Providesconsultation and development coaching to business leaders on all aspects of HR strategy and policy, including effective performance management, compensation practices, employee relations issues and organizational development practice.
  • Responds proactively to employee and labor relations issues.Manages collective bargaining process.Conducts investigations as appropriate
  • Ensures compliance of HR practices, programs and processes in accordance with Company policy and applicable federal and state regulation
  • Attract, retain, and develop employees. Evaluate team members for compliance with established goals/objectives, contributions in attaining goals/objectives, and overall performance.

And if you have these qualifications:

  • BA/BS required, Masters degree preferred
  • 10 or more years of HR experience in a related industry managing multiple sites.
  • Collective bargaining/union experience required
  • SPHR preferred
  • Strong working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines including staffing, compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, employee and union relations, diversity and performance management.
  • Leadership and Change Management:Strong ability to consult, partner and lead change. Excellent communication and facilitation skills. Able to drive change, facilitate internal communication processes and facilitate dissemination of internal customer informatio
  • Project Management: Ability to plan and prioritize multiple initiatives in context of enterprise business and HR strategies
  • Problem Solving: Strong investigative and analytical skills; able to work through necessary channels to accomplish outcomes in complex settings; understanding of processes and quality improvement
  • Business/Financial Acumen: Understand business strategy and how to align and prioritize HR processes and practices to support the organization's vision and goals.
  • Open to Travel (up to 20%)
  • Great attitude and team player.
  • Successful completion of background screening process.



In compliance with pay transparency laws, the wage range for this role is$141,680 -$212,520. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. (The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements).
