The Product Management team is looking for a Group Product Manager to join the Infrastructure team to focus on engineering experience and productivity in our Engineering Systems group. As a product leader, you will craft and shape the strategy for internal developer experience tied to our cloud transformation for the entire organization. You will also coach, mentor, and lead a team of Product Managers to enable engineering excellence in a cloud-native world through continuous discovery and a relentless focus on execution and delivering value.

The portfolio for this role oversees:
Create faster, automated, and turnkey pathways for internal teams to increase their efficiency and automate away toil
Give engineers a kickstart on their journey to use industry-standard Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) tooling and pipelines
Empower engineers with intuitive and efficient Infrastructure-as-Code techniques in their workflows to speed up their time-to-code
Shape how engineers and teams can measure what matters with DevOps and developer productivity metrics (e.g., DORA)
Accelerate how developers get started with their workflows through a robust Developer Portal
Collaborate across engineering teams to foster and promote developer communities and cultivate inner-sourcing
Re-thinking and enable how teams release and experiment with their latest ideas & innovations via advanced feature management capabilities and experimentation techniques

The position reports to the Director of Product Management for Engineering Systems and Automation Enablement.

Job Description and Requirements

Job Responsibilities

  • Assess and evaluate market for engineering tooling and workflow innovation and drive build/buy/partner decisions for feasible key technologies.

  • Craft and shape the product strategy and portfolio that both impacts and is shaped by cloud transformation with numerous stakeholders with a cohesive roadmap that encompasses product, technology, and adoption.

  • Clearly communicate product vision, strategy, and roadmap to a range of audiences from internal/external stakeholders, senior leaders, and customers with varying levels of technical acumen.

  • Lead with a data- and KPI-driven approach, utilizing both qualitative and quantitative data from deep user, customer, market, competitiveinsight and data to articulate clear long-term product vision, identify new strategic opportunities, and gain organizational buy-in.

  • Manage effectively via Objectives and Key Results alongside leading indicators of product health and project success; drives tactics based on insights from portfolio metrics and reporting.

  • Discover and deeply understand both internal engineering customer needs to identify approaches to supercharge their productivity.

  • Align and build buy-in with the entire engineering and product department on the areas of focus and enablement strategies approach

  • Craft thoughtful adoption & enablement strategies

  • Lead collaboratively and evangelize best practices related to feature management, experimentation, and releases as well as cloud development and testing practices while building consensus and influence.

  • Own the operation of your portfolio, including managing customer roadmaps, capturing customer feedback signals, and reporting outcomes clearly and succinctly.

  • Model and exemplify being a great people leader as well as mentor and coach junior team members, help improve the team's operations, and contribute to team-wide initiatives.

  • Adaptable player and coach for your team members and portfolio.

  • Establish and maintain the end-to-end developer experience through documentation-as-code via markdown language, review/approvals of Pull Requests, etc.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in product management or working closely with product managers to deliver great value to engineers as customers

  • Direct technical experiences with aspects of engineering workflows such as Infrastructure-as-Code, Developer Portals, Documentation-as-Code, etc.

  • 1-3 years of experience inspiring, managing, and coaching direct reports

  • Proven track record of quantifiable, measurable impact with improving developer experience

  • Familiarity and comfort with data,including ability to use data to analyze and monitor product health, set goals, back up assumptions, and track success.

  • Strong tactical execution with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously

  • Championing, creating, and delivering value via incentive-based adoption strategies for features and platform capabilities

  • Detail-oriented without losing focus on strategy and big picture objectives

  • Excellent communicator and presenter, both written and verbal

  • Solid understanding of software development lifecycle and agile

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or Design or comparable work experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Direct experience as a software engineer

  • Energized by highly complex problems, systems, and interactions

  • A team player with proven ability to validate solutions and deliver features from inception to delivery

Relativity is committed to competitive, fair, and equitable compensation practices.

This position is eligible for total compensation which includes a competitive base salary, an annual performance bonus, and long-term incentives.

The expected salary range for this role is between following values:

$163,000 and $245,000

The final offered salary will be based on several factors, including but not limited to the candidate's depth of experience, skill set, qualifications, and internal pay equity. Hiring at the top end of the range would not be typical, to allow for future meaningful salary growth in this position.
