Position Overview:

The Warehouse Manager is responsible for all tooling and warehouse equipment as well as the housing and delivery coordination of the like items. Additionally, the manager is responsible for supporting the Field Leaders and Project Managers with tool/equipment requests when posted. Must maintain good working relationships with vendors that replenish consumables and consignment items.

We are looking for individuals with a positive leadership style, strong communication skills, an eye for detail, comfort with equipment/inventory control.

Location & Travel:



  • You will be based out of our operations center in York, PA with some flexibility to work from other locations as needed.
  • Some travel (as necessary) to other operations centers, offices, and yard locations, and also to attend training and offsite team building meetings. Occasional overnight travel will be included.
  • Additional customer related travel may also be required at customer facilities.



Responsibilities:

Tooling Responsibilities:



  • Tooling responsibilities to include electrical, utility, and communication. (except for certain specialty communication equipment stored in the communication tool chest)
  • Maintain and update tool management software.
  • Input all tool transfers and have knowledge of where all tools are located by referring to Vista.
  • Provide annual report of tool migration/tool loss for each division.
  • Provide analysis of potential tool replacements and additions for end of year budgeting.
  • Respond to and fill all requests for tools and equipment. - requests are mostly generated from Project Managers and field personnel.
  • Fill requests and communicate the expected delivery date back to the person making the request.
  • Follow approval processes for tools and equipment.



Warehouse and Delivery Responsibilities:



  • Maintain daily and weekly schedule of deliveries to be made in the most efficient manner possible while adhering to job delivery deadlines.
  • Manage all Warehouses to ensure all tools, material and equipment is being tracked and housed as required.
  • Manage all tool, material, and equipment deliveries (and possible truck moves) for all divisions.
  • Coordinate with Drivers - Warehouses.
  • May have to make frequent deliveries if there are no other resources are available.
  • Supervise all Warehouse Coordinators, including all full-time Warehouse employees and those directed in that on a temporary basis.
  • Work with drivers on safety issues, especially those pertinent to the logistics activities handled from the Warehouse. (Truck road worthiness, securing loads, rigging, etc.)

Desired Qualifications:

Required:



  • Bachelor's Degree in logistics or relevant competency.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in working with tooling and materials associated with utility and electrical contracting.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience of progressive responsibility in maintaining and administering tool and warehousing programs.


Other:



  • Valid Driver's License required to operate company or personal vehicle for company business.
  • Forklift certification.
  • Must be able to present acceptable documents evidencing identity and employment authorizations per the Federal I-9 requirement.


Desired:



  • Masters Degree in Business or relevant competency.
