OVEREVIEW: The IMA Cyber Risk Solutions (CRS) team is responsible for product placement, thought leadership and growth for Cyber Risk and Commercial Errors & Omissions insurance. This is a rapidly growing practice in a dynamic marketplace. We are seeking an Associate Broker to assist with expansion of the practice. Individual will learn basics of these specialized coverages, assist with practice administration and contribute to growth initiatives. ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: include but are not limited to: * Supports and demonstrates IMA's core values * Values and understands the importance of diversity, equity, and inclusion among all IMA associates * With direct guidance: o General understanding of the components of complex insurance products o General understanding of data security o General awareness of the insurance marketplace, carriers, admitted/non-admitted guidelines, etc. * With moderate direction: o Submit preliminary submissions to carriers for Cyber risk and Commercial E&O including follow up o Document & compare basic terms / quotes o Prepare preliminary proposals o Bind coverage / collaborate with IMA P & C teams o Review binders / work with P & C service team to deliver seamless service o Policy and/or program reviews o Research benchmarking materials o Begin to formulate and foster relationships with carriers o Responsible for the renewal negotiation / placement of monoline policies or other policies as determined by the CRS Practice Leader * With minimal direction: o Follow up for underwriting information from the service teams o Follow up for new and renewal terms from underwriters * Other miscellaneous duties as needed (including but not limited to back up processing of policies) * Knowledge of the CRS workflows and responsibilities * Maintain EPIC integrity of data in accordance with workflow * Maintain Cyber Teams folder organization and account tracking document * Proactive engagement with fellow team members REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS: include but are not limited to: * 1 to 2 years of previous business - related work experience; Commercial Insurance preferred, Cyber Risk or Professional Liability is a bonus * Bachelor's Degree preferred or equivalent experience * Microsoft Office skills required * Property & Casualty License required (OR obtain within 90 days of start date) * Written and verbal communication competencies required * Critical: o Tracking all responsibilities to applicable deadlines o Ability to handle high volume demands accurately with little lead time o Ability to respond timely and accurately COMPETENCIES & TRAITS: * Business Acumen o Executes strategy through others to create alignment, a positive mindset and build capability in people and collaborate effectively with others. o Leads processes, understand the business, including its critical interdependencies, and the short and long-term trade-offs of decisions. * Agility/Flexibility o Demonstrates support for innovation and changes needed to improve organization effectiveness. o Adapts to stressful situations. * Self-Direction o Ability to effectively plan and organize work independently. o Takes initiative to establish goals, create deliverables, and lead projects. * Interpersonal skills o Ability to foster and maintain healthy, mutually beneficial relationships with others. o Displays emotional intelligence by controlling and expressing emotions professionally and respectfully to create and maintain productive relationships. * Problem Solving o Ability to view situations in an objective or critical manner and choose the best solution accordingly. o Uses brainstorming techniques to create a variety of solutions, thinking outside the box when necessary. #LI-KM1 The anticipated posting timeline for this opportunity is 0521/2025 -06/15/2025.
