Sr. Cloud Operations Engineer Hybrid Arlington VA Pay From: $190,000/ YR MUST SR. Cloud Operations Engineer Active DoD Secret clearance and the willingness to obtain a TS/SCI Eligibility Certifications: DoD 8570/8140 IAT Level II certification Desired certs: CISSP or equivalent certification Familiarity with Special Access Program security requirements 8 years min of general experience in cloud engineering roles or a related field Strong experience with Azure and/or AWS cloud environments Implement NOC tools and operations including system/network monitoring, incident management, and service health tracking Implement SOC tools and methodologies, including SIEMs (e.g., Sentinel, Splunk), vulnerability scanning, and cloud security best practices Deep knowledge of networking fundamentals (firewalls, DNS, VPN, routing protocols) Familiarity with Zero Trust security architecture and cloud-native security tools Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools (e.g., Terraform) Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities Strong verbal and written communication skills Education: Bachelor's degree in information systems, engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience) DUTIES The Sr. Cloud Operations Engineer will support the design, development and deployment of cloud cyber security solutions in a secure Department of Defense (DoD) environment. As part of a high-power team proving out a prototype for production at full scale. This position requires an understanding of major cloud platforms and technologies as well as the ability to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities: Architect, deploy, and maintain cloud infrastructure. Design and implement NOC and SOC capabilities. Design and enforce robust network security.
