Hybrid Arlington VA Pay From: $150,000 MUST Mid-Level Network Engineers Secret min required with ability to get TS/SCI Certifications :DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security+ CE, CySA+) Desired Certs: DoD 8570 IAT Level III certification; CISSP or equivalent certification Cisco CCNP, AWS Advanced Networking Specialty, or equivalent certifications. Experience: 5 years of experience in network engineering or implementation roles with a focus on voice, video, and infrastructures in secure DoD environments Strong understanding of network protocols, IP addressing, and QoS related to voice and video traffic Familiarity with STIG applications, RMF processes, and DoD cybersecurity frameworks Experience with cloud networking in AWS, Azure, or GCP Hands-on with cloud security controls: security groups, network ACLs, WAFs, and private endpoints Scripting proficiency (Terraform, Python, PowerShell) for automation and IaC Highly desired : Experience with SD-WAN, VPNs, and hybrid cloud connectivity (Direct Connect, ExpressRoute, etc.) Knowledge of Zero Trust Architecture and NIST 800-207 Familiarity with Special Access Program security requirements Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced, cloud-focused environment. Education: Bachelor's degree in information systems, engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience) DUTIES Design robust and scalable hybrid network architectures integrating cloud (AWS, Azure, etc.) and on-premises systems Define routing, segmentation, and transport solutions aligned with DoD cybersecurity policies and Zero Trust principles Recommend and implement network optimizations to ensure high availability, redundancy, and performance Deploy networking equipment (routers, switches, firewalls, VPN concentrators, etc.) and virtual network appliances across classified and unclassified environments Support infrastructure-as-code for cloud networking deployments using tools like Terraform or AWS CloudFormation Integrate and troubleshoot secure communications over classified networks (e.g., SIPRNet, JWICS) Work closely with cybersecurity, cloud, and DevSecOps teams to ensure secure network integration and compliance Provide Tier II/III support for network issues, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders as needed Participate in system accreditation and cybersecurity assessments including CCRIs and RMF evaluations Perform network monitoring, diagnostics, patching, and incident response in accordance with DoD RMF and STIG compliance Maintain network documentation including topology diagrams, IP plans, and configuration baselines Implement and manage network security controls including firewalls, access control lists (ACLs), and intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS) Quadrant is an affirmative action/equal opportunity employer.
